Wetplate at James Madison’s Montpelier

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our art group, Firnew Farm Artists Circle was unable to safely meet or hold our two yearly shows. However, in collaboration with James Madison’s Montpelier, we have been able to meet on their beautiful grounds for Plein Air Art….and wetplates for me! Below are a few of the landscape images I’ve made there over the last few months. I have more landscapes planned, and have also started shooting wetplate portraits of our artists which I’ll feature in a later post. We do have a show planned for the work created at Montpelier, we had hoped to have it this fall, but still don’t feel it’s safe. The show is currently planned to the spring of 2021. Fingers crossed we can make it happen.
